By accessing and using the Beacon Pilot Prompt Bank ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Beacon Pilot Prompt Bank is a community-driven platform for sharing, discovering, and collaborating on AI prompts. The Service allows users to:

  • Browse and search AI prompts created by the community
  • Create and publish their own prompts
  • Rate and provide feedback on prompts
  • Suggest improvements to existing prompts
  • Test prompts with various AI models

3. User Accounts and Authentication

3.1 Account Creation

  • You may create an account using email/password or OAuth providers (Google, GitHub)
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information

  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Content and Intellectual Property

4.1 MIT License Requirement

IMPORTANT: By creating and publishing any prompt on this platform, you agree that your prompt will be licensed under the MIT License. This means:

  • Your prompt becomes part of the public domain for community use
  • Anyone can use, modify, and distribute your prompt freely
  • Your prompt can be used for commercial and non-commercial purposes
  • Attribution is appreciated but not required

4.2 Content Ownership

  • You retain ownership of the prompts you create
  • By publishing a prompt, you grant us and the community a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license under the MIT License
  • You represent that you have the right to license the content you publish

4.3 Community Contributions

  • Prompts, ratings, suggestions, and other contributions become part of the community knowledge base
  • The community may benefit from your contributions even if you delete your account

5. User Conduct

5.1 Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service
  • Create misleading or spam content
  • Impersonate others or provide false information

  • Community members may report inappropriate content
  • Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the Service with notice

  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or quality of prompts
  • You use the Service at your own risk

8. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service (if any)

  • Content licensed under MIT remains available to the community

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada.

12.2 Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes should first be addressed through direct communication
  • If needed, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration
  • Class action lawsuits are waived
